Shadow Forest 3
The children decided to start the collage with grey because right from the moment Martha and Samuel arrived in Norway the forest was clearly not a friendly place. From there they went to black to represent terrible danger, white for the snow storm and back to dangerous black. As the evil powers in the forest started to diminish they returned to grey and then through a beautiful sunrise to a friendly warm green background. LOTS of trees were needed so they set to! Some of them did tree trunks (thin and fat), the rest did green blobs in various shades to represent the leafy bits.
We thought very carefully about characters in the book today. We have decided to make a book called 'Who's Who in Shadow Forest' to look at all the different personalities. First of all we made a list of the characters in the book and then we decided who was going to do which character. They had to think about all th e facts they knew about them and then use these facts to made deducations.
