Parent Governors

Alan Walton has been a Parent Governor since 1996.
"I have had a 30 year association with the school, having seen all 4 of my children move through the school. My job is to do with the cleaning up ('recover' is the fashionable term!) of industrial wash water. I am pleased to have been able to share aspects of the "the water cycle" and water treatment with many classes at Gillingstool over many years. I am proud to be associated with the dedicated team, which makes Gillingstool such a caring and successful school.'
Hazel Edwards has been a Parent Governor since October 2003 and Chair of Governors since 2006.
"I have two children at Gillingstool, Alexandra and Henry. We moved to this area in the summer of 2002 and are busy renovating a cottage and seting up our own business. Despite this I am really looking forward to being involved with the school and to help further the already fantastic progress the school is making."
Debbie Harper has been a Parent Governor since October 2003.
"I am married with 3 children, Phillip, Aimee and Mykol. I was born in Ireland in 1969. I am interested in shopping and camping. I am the director of my husband's company and a 'Pampered Chef' consultant. I moved to Thornbury in July 2003 and love it! We are hoping to emigrate to Canada in 3-4 years."
Jason Harries was appointed as a Parent Governor in June 2007. He has two boys at Gillingstool, Callum and Dylan.
