27 Jun 2008 - Class 4 visit Stratford on Avon

Class 4 visited Stratford on Avon for the day.  They visited Mary Arden's house and saw how people used to live in William Shakespeare's day.  They also saw a display of Birds of Prey.  The children then visited several places of interest in Stratford including Shakespeare's grave.

Living History

Some staff at Palmers Farm were dressed in traditional Tudor clothes and they showed the children how to do traditional Tudor jobs such as chopping wood and mending shoes.

The girls liked the traditional cart.  It had very

large wooden wheels which would have given a

                                                                                                          bumpy ride!

Some of the children held and fed the kestrel.  It's name was Kip.
