Hey I am really missing u all and hope u are doing lots of fun activities . I am having so much fun in Ireland and get to spend time with all of my family, there is a lake right outside our house and in the summer we are going to go swimming in it but of course safety comes first , so we are going to wear lifejackets or boyancy aids. According to the news someone drowned in the lake so I am a little creeped out. Almost unpacked all of our stuff but there is another load coming today . Really missing all of and say hello to Mr Smart and Mrs Hancox for me x

Hi, hope you are all have fun and practising for your sats and other stuff. Hope you won the netball match. I'm missing you all. I went to the beach with my cousins. There was a car crash right outside our house but are walls are so thick we didn't hear it but my mum went outside and she saw the car in the bush so she called the police. I have a big part of land over a wall behind my house and there is lots of heather and I go right through it and then at the end of it, we go on to a mountiain. aimee says hi.

Hi I'm having a great time in Ireland, I have just got the internet connection. My house has a huge garden and the tree is being cut down. We're almost finished unpacking. Everything is so expensive and we have to buy our own water because the water that comes out of our tap is from the lake in front of our house which is really dirty but we also have a filter. We can see Mount Neffin really clearly sometimes and it looks great. Me and my sis went to a gallic football mach two times with our school, the first time the girls won and the boys came second and the second time they both won the match. My aunt is drawing on the school walls because she's an artist and she's making the walls look good with games and pictures, they're really good and the school is going to paint them. We start school at 20 past 9 and finish school at 3 o'clock!!!!!!!!

Reply: Glad to hear you have settled in well Mykol. Everyone here sends their regards.

Hii!!!
I havn't been on the site for a long time so I thought I would leave a comment!
The weather over here is changing from sunny to wet and cold, today it was pouring down with rain, and at the moment its freezing! Its supposed to be snowing tomorrow morning!
Everyone is okay here! Carwyn has a job now and does his drivers test in a couple of months. Mum and Dad are okay aswell. Unfortunatly our dog had to get put down in April because of a brain tumor :( but we had a phone call today from a boxer dog breeder saying that one of the dogs there are due next week!
Athletics is fine, I'm doing beach training next week for 10 weeks every Sunday morning, we have to be at the club for 9 am ( Eeek!)
School is great we have our year 8 camp in November and we go to Glentui in Oxford. Its the school holidays now and we have 2 weeks off then back to school for 10 weeks.
Must go now because its well late!
See ya!

Hope you had a nice Xmas and New Year!
I go back to school from out Summer hols in to days time and I will be in yr 8 but im not in high school, yet . Im in Intermediate which is in between Primary and High school but im going to high school next year!
The weather has benn great over here! Whats it like there?
I went to Nelson wich is at the top of the South Island about 3 weeks ago competing in the Colgate games which is an athletics competition and i came 6th in the 100m finals and we got silver for the mixed medley relays and gold for the 4x100 m relay!
Then my family and I went to Aussie for 4 days (sounds weird coz your on the other side of the world!) because I was a bridesmaid and Cal was a groomsman and it was 40 degrees! Plus it was an outside ceremony!!!
Then today i got back from Queenstown (down south) and we went on a hike up Queenstown Hill and went on a bus guide around the Queenstown erea!
Well thats about it now but I will write a message soon
Byyyeeeeeeeeee xxxxxxxxxxx
P.s even tho the last yr6 are not here now but please put pics of them on so i can see what they have done in year 6!!!

Hiya, I have been to castle school for 2 years now but i still like to see how everyone is getting on, Could you put some of the 2005 residential trip pictures and the Wizard of Gillingstool on this site?
Reply: It is always good to look back over photos. However, it is difficult to put some of those pictures up as school did not have permission from parents to put many of the childrens' photographs onto the website. I will try to track some down over the next couple of weeks and check whether there are any that I could use.

Mrs Holland, Mr Bowring, Mrs Staton, Ms Briton, Mrs Hinchcliffe, Mrs Scott......all names that will stick with me for ever. What a great school this was, I have vague memories of the name change from The Leaze to Gillingstool not going down well. My mum was a School Governor too. All in all the best years of my life.

ps. Mr Bowring was the best teacher I had, and many friends still think the same.

All of them enjoy going to gillingstool, they say it is a cool school to go to, I agree as I also used to go to the same school but it was The Leaze when I was there in the good old days. None of the teachers that are there now taught me,Mr Morgan was our headmaster in my time(im not really that old am I?)

Hello, I would have been at gillingstool 8 years ago. It doesnt feel that long ago but it seems like a lot has changed! I can remember Mrs Britton as head and Mrs Staton who taught me in year 5. I think the only person i recognise on the teaching staff now is Mrs cook who I dont think ever taught me so is more likely to remember my little brother Ricky cole!?! He was a complete nightmare who could usually be found hanging from a drain pipe somewhere and surprisingly is now a ballet dancer at the English National Ballet. Thankyou for some great memories!

Hi, we left Gillingstool a long time ago before moving to Castle School- we were there when there were only 5 classes and saw the "new" building be built. It seems to have changed a lot and none of our teachers are there any more. We rememeber Mrs Holland, Mr Bowring, Mrs Staton and Mr Saterthwaite. We look back on our days at Gillingstool fondly we had many laughs there.

In the future would definatly send our children to repeat the happiness and fun times we had there. We will remember them forever.

Thanks for the good time xx

Hello Gillingstool! Just wanted to say hello to everyone. I suppose I?m really writing because I?ve just finished secondary school, and I don?t think I could have done it with out the help of all teachers that helped me. Mrs Hancock for the help you gave the whole class, do you remember when I helped out sticking the book tokens in rows of fives on a A5 piece of paper? Mrs Cook who helped me with my reading and the teaching of Bulgarian (sorry I don?t remember any)! Mrs Turner I hope your still not driving your multicolor sierra sapphire? No I?d like to thank you for the help you gave me as my teacher in Yr 5 and for teaching me to play Netball. Oh and for the cream egg!!!! And I?d like to thank Mr Suthern for being my teacher in Yr 6. :-) I?d like if you replied or emailed me back. Hwyl fawr (Welsh for good bye) Matthew Scorrer
